Day 68 BARKERLOUNGER BLISS

Day 68 Wed Sept 18 Zoe’s Morning Pages
BARKERLOUNGER BLISS

Hey hello Zoemou buttercream. Yum I had a good one yesterday dint I. Email from pink with a pixburg update. Run in the park with M. Delicious hamburger breakfast and dinner. A good long nap in the barkerlounger without any disruption for the better part of the morning. Oh yeah life is good life is good. Only thing bad that happened really was on Monday night them stillers looked like a real sad excuse for a football team and the girls were bummed. But I dint mind, cause I don’t really care for all that slammin around and growlin those huge men do on the grass. It aint natural really.

I seen them men in the stands with their faces all painted and their bellies all hanging out and they’s swayin from side to side and barin their teeth at the camera like they were fixin to eat it or somethin.
It ain’t normal.
B says football’s like watchin the gladiators in old roam, wherever that is... And so the audience is tryin to get their frustrations out and the only way they can imagine doin it is to put a bunch of gnarly guys into an arena and watch them have at each other like a pack of wild animals. And I said “hey B watch it, my people is a pack of wild animals not so many generations back ya know!” Come to think of it, ain’t her people a pack a wild animals just a few extra generations further back? I mean we are all related am I right?
Anyways I dint mean to spend so much time talkin about football....What I wanted to talk about was the great value of loungin. I noticed them commercials is now directin everyone’s attention to the high art of loungin. Retiring and grillin and chillin and livin the high life in your own back yard! Them ads act like they just discovered relaxation and now they’re hot to package it on up and sell it to you, like you can’t figure out how to do it on your own. Man people is confusin sometimes. Seems like they can figure out how to cash in on every conceivable thing in the universe. I bet if you wait long enough they’d be sellin ya air to breath and people’d be lined up to buy it, at a premium too!

Hey did I mention Mischa’s cousin called her today. She loves when that happens, keeps her all connected to her tribe. I wish my cousins called more often. Pink writes but she hates the phone. Nicki aint feelin too good so he dont call. Them terriors aint tall enough to reach the phone. Luna called once, but I haven’t heard from her in weeks and weeks now. Eclipse don’t call cause she thinks the phone’s a biscuits and starts gnawing on it, so her mom’s hide from her. A coupla my cousins went  to heaven this year, apparently they can’t seem to find the phone up there. All in all I’m gonna half to get in on Mischa’s calls from her cuzes if I want to get that warm and fuzzy feelin. My canine family is not cooperatin.

Speakin a cooperatin, I got to talk a coupla sweet potato cookies to make their way into my snout. Aloha for now.

day 67 tues sept 17 is there no mercy in this place

Day 67 Tue. Sept 17 Zoe’s Morning Pages
IS THERE NO MERCY IN THIS PLACE?

Well gdey meighty and hopefully it will be. Yesterday I felt like I got jipped a little, on accounta I didn’t see the car trip comin. I usually am on top of that, but somehow I musta slept through some o them clues. Anyways we ended up in the car and on the ferry and with the windows up on accounta how fast we were goin and the fear of a tree branch or a low flyin owl or a stone from the road... hittin me in the face or even flyin up my nose. Ole B called  Mischa a worryheart. I said I thought the word was worrywart. Then B said Mischa’s worry don’t sit on a wart it sits on her heart.
Anyways we arrived at our destination and first one mom and then the other disappeared down a long hall. The room was full of ladies and I got lots of glances in my direction, but not one single pet and no biscuits. Everybody was studying their rectangles, need I say more.
I heard them ladies talkin about some a their body parts gettin squeezed down the hall! Egads why would they all rush down here first in thing in the morning and line up for that? I hope my moms aint got no queer habits or anything, that would give me shivers. When the last one emerged from the torture chamber, for some reason everybody was smilin, and we went to lunch. Early lunch I might add, at Mischa’s favorite haunt. I got to sit on a real nice carpet (on accounta my service dog jacket and license) and got some special treatment from the east indians whose voices were, as usual, lulling me and Mischa into a trance. That musta been how we ended up orderin so much food. Cause it was piled high.

After that I had a small trauma, cause Mischa got up and went for a walk and didn’t come back. Ole B put me in the car and drove off, abandoning me in a parking lot!
I don’t know what it is but I cannot deal with them bein separated. I got to keep them both in eyeshot, and they made that impossible. Freaks me right outta my dogsuit! I tried to say ‘’Hey aint there no mercy around here for a herdin dog.?!” Eventually Mischa shows up and she’s all smiley, and takes me into another building full of wooden doors with lots of ladies behind em. I only saw two men all day and they was carryin little babies. Seemed like something was a bit backward to me. Like the time the chinese man had the jesus pictures and Mischa had the buddha on her dashboard. But whatever.
We sat around makin drawings on my ipad and suddenly and without any warning ole B emerged from behind one a them doors, and Mischa slipped into the very same one. It was like an exchange program but somehow I got left outta the equation. After a bunch a time and a buncha giggling and paper signin, Mischa came out and we piled back into the car headed for the ferry and got ourselves back home. We was exhausted though and we all found nice soft spots and took a long nap.
Which is on my agenda right about now as well.
Cause that waitin around in those big buildings is a little anxiety provokin, so I got to be sure to keep mine in check. When it gets real provoked, it aint pretty, so I’m gonna catchup on my beauty rest. Later.

Day 66 IF IT AIN’T ONE RECTANGLE IT’S ANOTHER

Day 66 Mon Sept 16 Zoe’s Morning Pages
IF IT AIN’T ONE RECTANGLE IT’S ANOTHER

Ok good morning, I am bleary eyed and tired around all my edges this a.m. Why you might ask...Well last night was football night and we went to something called a bar. I thought we were goin out for candy bars, but I was mistaken. Hey I ain’t complainin cause right when they was mobilizin to go, which ofcourse I have my sixth sense antennaes way up when that’s goin on...when they was mobilizin, that low rumblin noise was startin up in the sky again. I hate the rumblin noise, and it’s accompanying lightups. Scares me to the core! So they scooped me up and hustled me down the steps and into the car. It was rainin so they was bein extra nice, seeins as I hate to get my feet wet.
When we first got to where we was headed though, they left me in the car and locked the door! I’m like “hey people ain’t you forgettin your best friend over here, hello hello.” Apparently nobody heard me and they disappeared into an old shack.
Well...no sooner did they ditch me then it starts rocknandrollin up there in the sky. The car was jigglin and I had to dig a big hole in the seat in order to calm my nerves, which never did get calmed until I see ole B comin outta the shack to rescue me. And yes I did hear Aretha singin in the background, thank you for askin.
So I get in the shack and all kinds a people I knew was in there, and Mischa had foraged remnants of meat from everybody’s plate and I had a steady stream a morsels comin my way for an hour! Roxy left me a whole side a beef practically! I was stylin in the food department.
But then...another 4 hours or a month or maybe longer went by and I was still under the table being quiet and polite. Them gals was jumpin up and down and wavin at one of them rectangles someone had hung high up on a wall. I guess they was havin a real good time, but i was miserable!
At one point Mischa looked down and saw how depressed I was and said “Now Zoe, honey, ya gotta take the good with bad.”  And then I said “Seriously?” And she said “Didn’t you just enjoy a windfall of delicacies?”
To which I replied “OMG how soon we forget, mea culpa, forgive me.” And I laid back down and had myself a good long dream about repasts and such.
Hey speakin a dreams, this morning I had a scary one. Me and some little kinda geeky kid was stuck on an elevator and it was all hot and the air was runnin outta space. Somehow though, I magically transported myself out and then spent a long time frantically tryin to get somebody to spring the kid free. You know it aint easy being a dog.
Most people never bother to look down long enough to catch yer drift. Anyways I got exhausted  and woke up. Today I am gonna go shoppin for some stilts, I got get eye to eye with these people.
Hey, it’s breakfast time, and I hear dishes rattlin. So see ya later.

Day 65 sun sept 15 SELF REFLECTION

Day 65 Sun Sept 15 Zoe’s Morning Pages
SELF REFLECTION
Well I am up and I am at it this morning. Me and Mischa had a big long tete a tete yesterday cause all sorts a things was going on inside and outside. Tete a tete is french. I dont think we are french but sometimes we like to try on different cultural attributes for size. And language is always a good starting point. It puts us in a slightly different frame of mind. Cause sometimes you need a change of frame in order to examine your mind. I never noticed this before, but now I am on it like fleas on peas, or something like that...
We was discussin how you can look at something and get this all over warm gushy feelin and then you can look at the exact same thing but on another day, and want to kill the thing! Now this may be an extreme example, but just saying, things change. Like minds, they change all the time.
Yesterday I was tryin to get real deep and personal with myself. I was askin myself some of them big important questions. You know the ones that help you get perspective on your life: who, why, where, and when are we? I’d just get nice and cozy with an answer and something would all a sudden intervene and before you know it I come up with a completely different answer!  Now that’s down right unsettlin.
Hey that flock a honkin geese just flew by again. They’re becomin like the backup singers for these pages. Plus they can’t seem to decide if they are going north or if they are going south. Now where was I... oh yeah, unsettled. Ok so here’s an example: Me and Mischa is starin at the mirror this morning, brushin our teeth. Well she was brushin her teeth I was just standin next to her pretendin. I’m examinin my physique and I am feelin pretty good about myself. My dogsuit is all white and shiny, all my black , dots is showin off real good. I’m thinkin, hey is this a good lookin pup or what? Then I hear this voice in my head sayin ‘don’t give that dog anymore food, look at her belly!’ So I look carefully at exhibit A, the belly, and low and behold...it’s bulgin! The very same belly that was a sleek, svelt, trim belly one moment prior is now a basketball of a belly, just starin back at me, real defiant like!
Then later on, I was thinkin about how many friends I got and how lucky I am to have em. Next thing you know, the very same mind, is thinkin, ‘hey where’s all my friends, I ain’t heard from any of em all week!’ So I go from content to disturbed like it’s a sliding scale at the free clinic. I don’t want to be on a slidin scale. I want to nail somethin down! Does everything half to keep on changin?
Then I was thinkin, I was put on the earth to be Mischa’s best friend, to help her navigate the landscapes of life, to hold her hand, to soothe her in times of woe, to uplift her spirits when they sink, to stand by her side in good times and in bad. Next thing I know she’s sittin across from me doin all that for me!  So I says ‘hey Mischa, that’s my job!’ And she says, “Zoemou, we’s in this thing together sister!”
I know I should take solace in those words, but I am a terrior and by my genetic code, I am destined to be concerned over and above the call of duty. Mischa says if I keep on doin my life that way, I’m gonna get a agita or something. She says my body can’t take all that worryin and stressin, I got to do some coastin instead a tryin to always be the one who’s drivin the train. “Oh yeah?” I says back to her. “Oh yeah, I mean it Zoe, somedays you need to lean on me, it’s ok, I look forward to it, in fact.”
“Wow” I say. “I got to reflect on that a while, do some chewin and some digestin, cause that’s big!”
And with that...I took my leave, I grabbed a mirror
put it in fronta my barker lounger, and took a good long look at myself.
I dint even eat no biscuits while I was doin it either.
I’ll report back tomorrow. Later

Day 64 the visitation

Day 64 Sat Sept 14 Zoe’s Morning Pages
THE VISITATION or SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME

Hello hello. I am shakin my head and wipin my eyes.
I am pinchin myself and I ran to the mirror to see
if I was still here. Only problem was they keep em mirrors way high up on the wall. No one my size can get a look! I tried gettin purchase on the sink but that thing’s slippery when wet. There should be some kinda sign posted.  A dog can get her self all banged up slidin off that thing and slidin off that thing. I finally managed to get a look in a window and whoa... Hold It Up! I was white as a ghost!

Speakin a ghosts...I think there's a good chance I got one a them visitations last night.
It was like this...I fell asleep on the couch on accounta every body was watchin them SureLuck Homes movies. They had the subtitles on, cause ole B couldn't make out them Brit accents.
I can't read that fast so I got real sleepy and the dozed off. I was dreamin and dreamin which is a favorite activity of mine. Mischa likes to do it too. In fact we usually spend the first part a each day writin em down and then talkin about em.
They're insightful; at least that's what Mischa says.

Anyways I'm not sure if I did or didn't dream this cause
it coulda been real. It sure did look and feel real. See I was on the couch, like I said, and I was layin on my side, which makes my legs, all four of em, go straight out. Somebody walkin by coulda takin me for somebody who just passed over, but I don't think I did but I coulda. This is the thing that's so confusin.

Anyways all a sudden I felt somethin land on the couch.
Then I felt somethin land on the other side a the couch!
Then I got real scared, which is what both me and Mischa do pretty easy. So I'm kinda used to it. But then I hears people talkin! Yeah just chatterin away. I propped open one eye and looked over to see if Mischa was still in her chair, but she was missing! Then I scanned the room for ole B and the niece, but they were missing! Then I thought, ‘dare I open the other eye?’ Cause now I’m sure someone’s talking to someone else and it aint any a my pack, or at least I don’t recognize em as such.
So I finally gets up the nerves to address the situation, and lo and behold there’s two big people, but like shrunk down in size, on either side of the couch! One’s sittin and that’s a lady and the other’s standin on his tiptoes, and that’s a man. I starts goin through my mind’s eye of facial recognitions and I am getting a little frantic tryin to place em. Then I thinks, is this Erdie and Pompernickel all grown up! Them’s Mischa’s childhood under-the-table friends. No no it aint them, I recognize these people… “HEY!’ I thinks all a sudden, this is Mischa’s mom and dad! And I know they’s passed over, so now I’m thinking…did I pass over in the middle a the night? Did SureLuck Homes send them hounds from Baskerville outta the tv set to snag me?! Lord have mercy, what’s happening?
So I says to my self “Zoe, stay calm and treat these folks like family cause they is family.” And so I said.. “Hey there Dimitri how’s it going…?”  And ole Dimitri looks over at his wife and smiles real broad then he looks down at me and says “you’re a butter butter cream cream sugar sugar sweet sweet monkety monkety chckee chickee good girl Zoe… tell Mischa we stopped in, b-bye now.”
That’s when everything went all black and I must been mutterin real loud cause next thing I knew ole Mischa and ole B and ole Eva was hanging over me, pettin me and whisperin sweet nothins into my ear. Somebody swept me into her arms and ferried up them steps and into the bed.
That was quite the night!  Worked me up a big appetite.

So I will see my self….later pater!

Day 63 Iscream

Day 63 Fri Sept 13 Zoe’s Morning Pages
ISCREAM YOU SCREAM

Wow and hello. We had a whirlwind day yesterday. My head’s still a little spinny from all the things we saw.  That niece wanted to go see the big city and we piled half the island into the car and went on down.
Turns out we was pickin up and droppin people off a lot before we even got to the ferry. Like our little neighbors, Mischa has been promisin to take em for a ride to get em some iscream so she stuffed them in the car and rode em to the dairy queen. She bought everybody a great big striped cone. Just me and Kal got a solid white one. I guess we were special.

Then we stopped at a park and them kids sat on these tiny seats and Mischa pushed them intil they flew straight up into the sky. Someone started singin iscream songs and the kids were gigglin and flyin and kickin their legs. I am sure glad no one got the bright idea to put me on one of them little seats. My stomach was queasy just watchin em. After that we took em back home and headed for the ferry. I was confused but I went with the flow.

There was my aunts Judenchris and me and ole B, Eva the niece and Mischa in the car and everybody was in an exceptionally good mood on accounta bein together. Seems people like it best when they have their pack around em. Me I’m a bit unsure of what became of my original pack, but this adopted one of mixed breeds, is workin out fine! It’s mind alterin sometimes, but that’s ok.

Speakin a mind alterin, the city people are an eyeful.
Me and the niece spent a long time hangin out people-watchin: men in pink bunny hats, men in skirts and leotards tap dancin and playin clarinets, men with rainbow colored hairs, we were lovin it. Mischa called it the spice of life. Judenchris gave us the full monty seven hills of seattle tour, it was a roller coaster! The chris half a Judenchris raced me and Mischa up a big water tower so as we could get a good long view. I couldnt really see much except the light comin in the windows but, the floor was offerin up delicacies right and left. I had to be carried back down though on accounta my bum shoulder. It really isn’t a bum shoulder but when needs be I can sorta make it appear like it is, if ya know what I mean...
I don’t straight out lie about it mind you.

Anyways the big news a the day was havin that cart blanche to enter all the cool shops and cafes on accounta my official i.d. card and jacket! Plus people think it’s extra cool that a little pup can be a lifsaver, like I am, and that gets ya plenty of extras. I felt very seen, and very appreciated. Nothin fills ya up more. I think the feelin was sorta the same in the whole pack, cause they all was smilin pretty big all day.

Yeah just hangin with the pack is a good thing. Also I could see when they all look at each other, they light up, and that’s a sure sign a all being well in the world.
Cause when you look over at somebody and they’re givin you the evil eye or somethin, you know it and your whole day turns sour. Sometimes you even take that ole evil look and pass it on to the next person you run into, even if you don’t have no reason to bid him no evil. It’s weird, but it works like that sometimes.
Anyways we made our way home and I had a well-earned supper of leftover carnitas from the Judenchris. Oh yeah. Life is good.  Later!

Day 62 Thrurs Sept 12 RE-LIGHTIN THE SPARK

Day 62 Thurs Sept 12 Zoe's Morning Pages
RE-LIGHTIN' THE SPARK

Note to self: good morning self. Wasn't I talkin about waggin yesterday? Well late in the day I got an email from a famous dog named Eddy, who I have never met, and it was most succinct...it said:
" Ms. Zoe,   ' Wag'   Your Friend,  Eddy".
And the funny thing about it was... I didn't send Eddy an email, so I wasn't sure what he meant by that exactly. Although I must say it felt like a good sentiment.
I showed it to Mischa, and she shook her head real hard up and down. I thought maybe she thought I was gonna give her a treat or somethin, cause she was lookin all goofy like I am sure I do when I start beggin for those heart-shaped cookies they got up there in that jar, which by the way,I have never seen. She says to me "Zoe... Eddy use to have that cool Tshirt shop on the island, and we went to visit his aunt today, do you remember?" Then she said, "Afterwards I wrote to her thanking her for inspiring me and I guess Eddy's  her secretary now, so he wrote back for the both of them.  And of course, wag, means wag, right?"
"Oh" I says, " I get it, it was Eddy's picture that was on the wall, I thought it was a picture of me up there, now I get it. Hey, he's cute!" Mischa gave me a sorta are-you-fixin to-find-a-husband-Zoe- look? To which I shook my head equally as hard as she had shaken hers, 'cept in the opposite direction. Cause no way no how am I interested in matin with no Jack Russler, I got enough on my plate.
Anyways Mischa had a skip in her step all day on accounta things seem to be comin together for her.
She said she can't wait to get up in the morning cause she gets to illustrate my morning pages.
Now that she's visited with Eddy's aunt and those two apparently got some other art project hatchin, ole Mischa's all lit up. I haven't seen her this lit up in years! Maybe she's gonna stop growlin so much. That would be a plus. Also whenever she's happy I get more of just about everything a pup could desire.
And another thing, the weather. People people people, Mischa thinks maybe the world's comin to an end, on accounta how beautiful this spring summer fall has been. No one on the island can remember it ever bein quite like this before. The long-sufferin islanders are still a little suspect of their good fortune. That includes me. This here is September and it is gonna be 90 degrees. It's been sunny startin right from the rosy finger time and plans on continuin' all day long. So the great pacific northwest is gettin a kinda of facelift these days. She's got some pink in her cheeks and bounce in her gait. That doc we saw says the sun pours vitamins inta ya and perks ya up! Even them hunters seem to be affected. We ain’t heard much shootin in them woods this week. Enough to remind you they’s out there, but not nearly as agressive as they usually is.
This warm sun is good for the soul, feeds us I guess you could say, cause we all walkin around here lookin all plump and content right now.
On that note...I got myself a hunger pang, and need to honor it. Later mate.

ps. even though we is embraced by this good fortune...we is still a little leery around the edges, I guess there’s some things that do, and other things that, don’t, exactly change too easily....but we’re workin on it.

Day 61 Wed Sept 11 Cross Examination

Day 61 Wed Sept 11 Zoe’s Morning Pages
CROSS EXAMINATION

There is wag lines, and there is, no-wag lines, and into each falls each of us, some time.

Into the no-wag line has gone my friend jaz.
I dint know her too good but I did know her mom loved her somethin terrible and is ‘sad to the bone’ as they say to see her disappear into thin air.
I told her ‘moon’ I said  ‘that dog will never leave you, she’s just on the other side of the veil’ and moon shook her head  ‘yes’ as best she could in the moment.

Into the wag line goes Pink today, who had a windfall of a venison bone.

Into the no-wag line goes the poor venison who gave his life for pink’s windfall
p.s. is venison an animal?

Into the wag line goes me who is gonna be the new proud owner of the venison bone seein as cuzin pink dont like venison and her appetite is pitifully tiny, especially for a pit bull.

Into the no-wag line goes my mom who don’t think its right to shoot deer for the sport of it ( I guess that makes  venison a deer). Actually she don’t take to shootin deer at all unless you is starvin.

And also into the no-wag line goes me and Mischa on accounta the forests is off limits to our joggin jag now that it’s huntin season!

But as B says there is only two lines to get into  and you is in one or the other
and further more both them lines goes to the exact same place.
One is the waggin line you is in right now.
The other is the no-waggin line you will be in some time later.
The thing is most of us don’t know which line we’re in,
like most of us don’t know which plane we’re on either....
And it don’t matter, but for some reason we still spend a good portion of our lives tryin to figure it out.

Anyways however many more wags ya got, I say ya gotta wag like you mean it.

Speakin a which, yesterday me and Mischa had to go to the doctor.
Routine of course, nothing special.
And I started tellin that ole gal about how young I was feelin cause she kept hintin like i was decrepid or intrepid or something like that.
Whatever it was I dint really like her insinuations and took offense.
Mischa said I was gettin a little indigent with her
and she said my aunt Dana woulda been proud a me, but that she herself was a tad embarrassed.
Humph to all that, a girl gotta stand up for herself in this world.
Them docs gets a little know it all-ish sometimes.
I had to lay a few facts out real plain for her
1. old dogs can yearn blue ticks
2. leave laying dogs laying, cause they’s asleep
3. don’t go pokin around in other’s peoples privacy unless you ask first
4. don’t assume that my days is numbered, cause there aint no science to it.

I’ll get in the no-wag line when the time is right,
I aint no fool.
And remember the words of the great socrates
“Death is a narrow theme, with a wide audience.”
In other words, maybe we spend too much time tryin to put a fine point on it. We’re gonna find out what we need to know about the subject soon enough.

Well now that wasn’t the pleasantest way to get my day off and running. But that’s how it is.  As an old roma, who first collected $10 bucks, once said: some days you’s happy and some days you ain’t.

And them’s my partin words, gotta run.

DAY 60 WHEN ZOE WAS A GURU

Day 60 Tues Sept 10 Zoe's Morning Pages
WHEN ZOE WAS A GURU

Hey, Good Morning to Me. I have to report that my mediation glasses is goin good. Yesterday I had Mischa in a deep relaxation and I didn't even have to pull out my best east indian accent either. Just talked to her in a nice calm voice, and coached her on over into bliss. She got me one a them pillows to sit on to match hers for when she invites me into the quiet place on the third floor. Just a few of us knows its there. We're thinkin if we ever sell the house, we might not even mention it, it's a private space. "And sacred!" she always says. I'm not sure what sacred means but I think it has somethin to do with breathin and god and communion (although I thought that was reserved for catlicks and orthodoxes, but I could be wrong).
We like to light those little sticks a nag champa when we’re in there, or if we’re feelin nostalgic for way back east we light the frankincense on those little blocks of coal. I sort of orchestrate the breathin technique and I get real blissed out and then Mischa starts zonin out and before ya know it we are deep into it. Then some days Mischa pipes in the Dali Lama doin his Ohms.
So it’s kinda like a pajama party for gurus. We got that Ram Das book in there  and the Autobiography of a Yogi too in case whoever’s in there with us has forgotten how to do it. Of course I am there to give private instruction at a moments notice. I love doin it. It’s deeply satisfyin, and it is usually followed by a plethora of biscuits, cause everybody’s in an exceptionally good mood when they finish.

Speakin a good moods...did I mention that B likes nothin better than to have both hands loaded with power tools and a buildin in waiting? I know I must a...
Well B got her heart’s desire and then some today. This morning Mischa put her head in the rectangle only for a short time. I guess there was nothin too interestin in there, or somethin ticked her off, that happens. Anyways she got outta the living room pretty early and went on out to help B hammer and drill and saw and nail for a while. This pleased B to no end. I heard laughin and singing out there for hours. I never heard one a them utter a swear word either. That mighta been some kinda record set right there, cuase as I said...hours passed.
At one point B went in to rouse the niece from late morning teenage slumber. Mischa thought she heard them both talking way down at the house. Next thing Mischa knows...and me too cause I was standin right next to her, somebody’s head’s in the doorway...and it’s talkin!. We sees it outta the corner of our eyes. I got right into some righteous barking. Poor Mischa, who had at the time been holdin one a them nail guns that’s attached to a very loud red beachball, she jumps right up in the air and that gun goes flying outta her hand! She can’t remember if she had the safety on or off, so she is desperately tryin to make the perfect catch when it comes back down. Also she wanted to refrain from killin anyone with a spray of pointed metal spears.
Turned out it was Eva the niece at the door. She said she was makin a point not to scare us...but pass the cheez, she wasn’t too successful.
Anyway I had to remind Mischa to take some nice long deep breaths all the way down into her diarama. “Watch your chakras all light up in a row!” I told her. “Be here now, hon!” I said. “Fear is an illusion!” I reminded her “something we make up to keep ourselves from becoming our full selves.”
She looks over at me after a few minute...“Zoe” she says, “you the man!”
I made like a cute little bow in her direction. Hey is it a sin to dig compliments?
I found my way to the stash of biscuits and I indulged myself. So for now...that is all and everything that I have to report...so....catch ya at the ashram.

Day 59 Mon Sept 9 DID I OR DID I NOT SEE THE HOUSE LEVITATE!

Day 59 Mon Sept 9 Zoe’s Morning Pages
DID I OR DID I NOT SEE THE HOUSE LEVITATE!

Well let me tell you what I saw. Or what I’m pretty sure I think I saw. Or what I wished I didn’t see. It was our house, up in the air!  Yes I am here to tell you, I witnessed it with my own two orbs, and it scared the  three-cheeses outta me, or something like that.
So I was sleepin real nice and cozy on my bed. Mischa had it outside so as I could have myself a sun bath.
The birds was singing, the bees was whizzin by with big sacs a pollen on their thighs, them two little ones next door was servin high tea to their mom, and oh yes! the steady sound of saws was heard 360. Seems like everybody around here’s got themselves knee deep into some kind of construction project. This includes ole B who seems to be the queen of construction. Mischa thought she might get her a badge or a crown to wear, in honor of the hours of service she has dedicated to them buildin projects.
It’s got me and Mischa a little light headed most a the time. Anyways, there is a chorus of saws goin, Scottie and Douglas and Adam and ole B all in unison. I’m so use to it now it puts me to sleep, which I was doin when all a sudden I hear this huge BOOM!
And I looks up from my bed and, I am not kiddin you one bit, I sees the house, our house, rise right up off the ground. Musta been thirty feet! It was hoverin up there for a few seconds and then it comes crashin back down!
I ran and looked for Mischa. I was worried she was in there, or under there, worse yet. But I found her just sittin in her studio buildin little chairs outta tiny pieces a wood. She was hummin a song, had her head phones on and was like totally oblivious.
I tried to tell her what happened, but she just thought my watch was fast again, and that I was buggin her to make me a little something to nosh.  I tried circlin the house and sniffin for a real long time thinkin she might catch on to the fact that the house wasn’t where it used ta be! But she just kept on makin those little chairs.
I thought “woman, wake up here, we just had our house rattled off its foundation!” “this is big, this is profound” somebody’s got to do somethin!”
That’s when I realized, somethin that never coursed through my mind before...I can conjure up my own reality. And the person sittin right next to me, she’s makin up her own reality too. And sometimes they match up and sometimes they are two totally different stories. Cause I am tellin you, a tree fell in the woods and I was the only one who seen it!
Now Mischa tells me that there’s these things called metaphors. And I think that house getting raised up off its foundation, I think that might qualify as one. I think that I  was dreamin about some big changes I heard them moms talkin about  and I got real scared. So I think that house was like a reflection of my emotional distress.
All I know is when the earth shakes and things go boom  and your house is levitation and your terrified but your mom is whittlin little sticks and not payin you no mind, that’s  cause for serious concern. And I’m concerned.
A dog needs a certain degree of stability in her life to feel secure. If them moms is plannin another one of them long migrations in that car, which is  what I suspect is in the works, I’m worryin. and I’m probably worryin behind my own self’s back, which is why I saw what no body else saw! Hey I could be like that Oracle Mischa told me about, I could be omnipresent or omniscient or something like that.
This heavy talk’s makin me hungry. I gotta go. Wave bye!
